Hi I’m Iqra Salah
MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST
Iqra Salah is a multimedia journalist focusing on investigative storytelling and open-source research. She currently works as an editorial research fellow at Type Investigations and has previously reported for Al Jazeera, the Pulitzer Center, Berkeleyside, Environmental Health News, among others.
She earned a Master of Journalism degree from the University of California, Berkeley, with a focus on investigative reporting. Prior to Berkeley, she worked as a reporter and researcher for the BBC in Nairobi, Kenya, where she covered stories across Africa. Salah has also worked with CNN as a field producer and helped cover the 2017 Kenyan elections. Additionally, she worked with Africa Uncensored, Kenya’s first independent investigative media house, as a reporter.
In 2022, she was named a Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellow and was awarded the Overseas Press Club Foundation Walter and Betsy Cronkite Scholarship.
