Hi I’m Iqra Salah

MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST

I am a journalist and producer specializing in long-form feature journalism. My work has appeared in Al Jazeera, the Pulitzer Center, Berkeleyside, Environmental Health News, and other outlets.

I graduated from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, where I focused on investigative storytelling and open-source research.

Before Berkeley, I worked as a reporter and researcher for the BBC in Nairobi, Kenya, covering critical issues across Africa. I also collaborated with CNN as a field producer during the 2017 Kenyan elections and worked as a reporter with Africa Uncensored, Kenya’s first independent investigative newsroom.

I am currently a Neulor AI Governance and Literacy Fellow and previously completed the Atlantic Council’s Digital Sherlocks Fellowship (2024) where I deepened my work in OSINT, digital investigations, and emerging technologies

In 2022, I was named a Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellow and was awarded the Overseas Press Club Foundation Walter and Betsy Cronkite Scholarship.
